Director’s Bio: Vilsoni Hereniko is an award-winning film director, writer, and producer who is originally from Rotuma in Fiji but now lives in Hawai’i. He is a tenured professor at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Hawai’i. His narrative feature film “The Land Has Eyes” premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was Fiji’s first and only submission to the Academy Awards. It also won Best Dramatic Feature at the ImagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival. His animated short film “Sina ma Tinirau” has won five awards as “Best Short”.
