How To Festival

We realize the hybrid festival experience might not be something everyone is familiar with. So we’ve created this guide to make it easier for everyone to navigate the online festival experience and enjoy PAAFF 2024 from home and in-person.

 

IN-PERSON:

Seventeen film screenings will take place in person this year. This will be indicated on their individual pages. Other in-person events include panel discussions and musical performances.

Events will be held at the following venues:

Asian Arts Intitiative
1219 Vine Street (Chinatown)
Philadelphia, PA 19107

What to expect:

  • Film programs will be held in the black box theater.
  • The building’s front entrance has an ADA accessible ramp.
  • Genderless bathrooms are located on the first floor.
  • First floor windows do not open. If you need fresh air, please exit the building.

Moore College of Art & Design
1916 Race Street
Philadelphia, PA 19103

What to expect:

  • Film programs will be held in the Graham Auditorium.
  • The venue is accessible via the main entrance on Race Street. 
  • The Franklin Institute’s indoor parking garage is open 24 hours per day and is conveniently located off of 21st Street. Street parking is also typically available.

Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

What to expect:

  • The opening night film program will be held in the Rhoden Arts Center.
  • The opening night reception will be held 
  • PAFA’s galleries, special exhibitions and John and Richanda Rhoden Arts Center located in the Samuel M.V. Hamilton building are accessible through the front Broad Street entrance, which is on street level, and accessible restrooms are located on each floor. 
  • All floors are accessible by elevator.

Philadelphia Museum of Art Perelman Building
Fairmount & Pennsylvania Avenues, Philadelphia, PA 19130

What to expect:

  • The Perelman Building is located across the street from the main museum building, at the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.
  • The building’s front entrance is ADA accessible.

Vox Populi

What to expect:

  • Vox Populi is located on the third floor. It is accessible only via stairs.

 

ONLINE ACCESS:

Films are accessible online through rentals. Once you begin watching a program, you will have 24 hours to complete it. For more information about supported browsers, availability, and geoblocking, see our rental instructions.

Feature Film and Short Film Rentals

  • Clicking on a film will allow you to view the director bio, film synopsis, and ticket options.
  • PAAFF is offering specially priced festival passes, which gives you online rental access to films. See what’s available here.
  • Short film programs are available for individual rental.
  • Note: All films can only be watched on a single device or browser. Once the film has been opened, it cannot be reopened elsewhere. See additional instructions in the bullet point below.

 

ALL ACCESS PASSES:

If you have purchased an in-person All Access Pass, you will be provided a unique code which can be used to book tickets to in-person film screenings at no cost. These tickets must be booked individually in order to access screenings. The code on its own will not provide access to film screenings; it is only to be applied at checkout when booking tickets.
