After a long day dressed in a Mickey Mouse costume, undocumented immigrant Yun finds a rat in her basement. Searching for rat poison at midnight in NYC, she feels akin to the rats and slowly hears sounds that only “rats” understand.

Director’s Bio: Adam Zheng Yuan is a film director born and raised in Guangdong, China. He currently resides in New York, where he is pursing a film MFA at Columbia University. Prior to his move to New York, he traveled across various regions of China to engage in documentary filmmaking.

His films blend fictional narratives with documentary approaches in an attempt to capture the vivid, personal moments of life and their connection to the places where individuals inhabit.
