Director’s Bio: Aneesa Khan is a celebrated Pakistani-American filmmaker, producer, and writer. As the Associate Producer of the short film “Mirrors,” starring Academy Award nominee Paul Raci, she expertly oversees pre-production logistics and on-set operations. Her award-winning short film “The Girl With Anklets” earned Best Cinematography at the Pakistani Film Festival Australia 2021 and was selected at six global film festivals. Aneesa co-hosts the “Desi Talkies” podcast, where she analyzes South Asian media, and has previously held roles at Blumhouse Productions and Women in Entertainment. Her latest short film, “Criteria Kya Hai?,” a coming-of-age comedy, is already making waves in the 2024 film festival circuit and was a Narrative Short Finalist for the 2023 Tasveer Film Funded by Netflix. Her dedication to authentic South Asian and Muslim-American media representation and her adept production management make her a figure to look out for in the film and media industry.
