Eclipse

​​In a world where there are beings who rotate the Sun, a young woman comes to the realization that her ambitions do not align with that of her community, and especially her mother. She leaves the Sun to pursue her passion, leaving her family. Years later, after building a new life rotating the Moon, she finds herself reflecting on the choices she has made, now that she is only able to see her family in the event of an eclipse.

Director’s Bio: Mina Chacko is an aspiring character designer living in California. She loves slice of life stories, spending time with family and watching movies with friends. Mina identifies as mixed race, and feels very connected to her Taiwanese, Indian and German familial roots.
She is currently a student at CalArts and will be graduating in 2025.
