This movement poem weaves together themes of life and death with site-specific choreography, Indian classical dance, and improvised play to evoke the inner lives of an Indian-American child, mother, and grandmother as their lives intertwine for a brief time.

Director’s Bio: A dancer-choreographer, former musician, and arts advocate, Priya strives to enrich the lives of all people through arts and culture. With a career spanning public health, consulting, and philanthropy, most recently she was Charlotte, North Carolina’s inaugural arts and culture officer. Her latest creation is Road Openers (www.roadopeners.com), a collaborative that connects people and ideas with collaborators, resources and creative energy. Murmuration is her directorial debut.
