Cancel RIMPAC: A Collective Poem

Thirteen indigenous poets from Oceania–from Hawaiʻi, Aotearoa, and Guahan–came together to write and record a poem calling for the Cancellation of RIMPAC and for the restoration of ea: life, breath, and sovereignty. Their words envision a world without RIMPAC, without war or war games, without militarization and nuclear warfare, without deception and appropriation, without naval sonar and naval frigates, without bombs, and without militancy. This film was born from a coalition of activists, environmental groups and concerned community members protecting the Hawaiian Islands and the entire Pacific from increased militarism and environmental damage caused by the RIMPAC war games.
