Malcolm

Directed by Jimmy Vi

Plagued with the internalized racism from a lifetime of exposure to Hollywood media, a young Asian-American college student encounters the teachings of Malcolm X during a lecture. Inspired by the Malcolm’s famous speech on systematic racism and self-hatred, he embarks on a journey to accept his roots for the first time, drawing upon memories with his father, mother, and partner, finally choosing to embrace the radical notion of self-love.
