Anton, a frustrated Filipino musician, uploads a song he’s been working on social media. However, when an unauthorized French cover of his song goes viral, Anton attempts to reach out to his rival, but immediately encounters a linguistic and cultural barrier.

About the filmmaker: An ex-Filipino soap opera translator turned filmmaker, Achim Mendoza has pursued a diverse array of interests. Back in his home country of the Philippines, he helped create “Stages Sessions,” a YouTube channel that focuses on indie Filipino musicians and poets. He is now currently taking an MFA Film and TV Production at USC. He is also in the middle of editing a USC-produced documentary. In his spare time, Achim likes to perfect his family’s longsilog recipe.
