Marites and Carlos arrive in Canada for the first time, full of hope and promise. Years pass and Carlos grows fond of his new life in Canada, while Marites continues to juggle life as a single mom in a new country. More time passes and Marites discovers that her dad has fallen really ill and they must return to the Philippines to care for the family. However, Carlos is reluctant as he has established his life in Canada already. The two then must decide between their duty to their family in the Philippines and the life they have built in Canada.

Director’s Bio: Joe Tuliao is a Filipino-Canadian Choreographer and Director who has established himself in Vancouver and Los Angeles. His purpose is to create positive change in the entertainment industry and lead in advocating inclusion through his authenticity and creativity. Joe is known as a choreographer for Joy Ride and Rupaul’s Secret Celebrity Drag Race Season 2. He is also the co-producer of the Innovate Dance Film Showcase, an event that features the works of Canadian filmmakers & choreographers.
